EEI and AGA Accounting Committee Fall Meetings

This meeting is open to committee members and any employee of an AGA or EEI member company. Typical members attending this meeting include middle or upper accounting management from the general accounting area, plant accounting managers and depreciation specialists. This three-day joint AGA/EEI meeting provides a forum for members to discuss current issues in the natural gas and electric utility industries and an opportunity for professional development. This meeting features joint committee presentations followed by breakout sessions for Corporate Accounting and Property Accounting. Industry professionals and leaders in the field of utility accounting issues present individual elements. Attendees are encouraged to attend presentations of interest in different breakout sessions.

Meeting Cancellation Policy
Registration fees will be refunded minus a $100 administration fee if notification of cancellation is received on or before Friday, November 7, 2014. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after that date. Substitutions are welcome. The room rate per night for those attending the EEI Accounting Committee Meetings is $229.00 plus taxes single/double occupancy per night. Refer to the EEI Accounting Committee Meetings when making your reservation to get the meeting group rate per night. Room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-out (currently 16.25%) and a California Assessment fee of $0.13 per night. The hotel accepts all major credit cards. The EEI Accounting Committee Meetings room block is scheduled to be released after Monday, October 27, 2014. Reservations made after October 27, 2014 will be subject to availability at existing hotel rates.

The suggested dress is business casual for the meeting. Please note that meeting room temperatures are generally cool and difficult to moderate – please bring appropriate attire for such conditions.

For those registering to attend the Dinner Cruise, you will receive an email requesting that you (and you guest, if applicable) choose your dinner entrée. Entrée choices include Pan-Roasted Salmon with Tarragon Beurre Blanc or Grilled Rib Eye Steak with Caramelized Onion Demi Glace. The meal will include Caesar Salad, Herb-Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Freshly Baked Rolls, and New York Cheesecake.

The optional Tour of Alcatraz will be on Sunday morning. The tour departs from Pier 33 at 9:30 am. We will meet in the hotel lobby at 8:45 am for a short walk to the pier. The ferry returns from Alcatraz Island about every 30 minutes during the morning. Participants can return to Pier 33 on any ferry of their choosing. The duration of the tour is typically about 2.5 hours which includes a 45 minute audio presentation “Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour”. The maximum number for the tour is 25 on a first come, first serve basis. Also, we need a minimum of 15 to qualify as a group tour. The cost of the tour is $35 per person.
