Our salaries are commensurate with experience.  The salaries for Administrative Assistants and the Government Affairs Coordinator are based on a 35-hour work week, and Administrative Assistants and the Government Affairs Coordinator are paid for approved overtime.

Administrative Assistant, Energy Delivery
EEI has an outstanding opportunity an Administrative Assistant in its dynamic Energy Delivery Group! The AA will support the Executive Director, 2 Directors & 1 Manager including preparing documents, making travel arrangements & coordinating meetings. The job requires a High School diploma/GED, with college-level courses strongly preferred, and at least 5 years of executive administrative experience. Outstanding computer and proofreading skills are essential. Some travel to meetings is required.

Director, Energy Supply
EEI needs a Director of Energy Supply to provide leadership on all issues impacting energy supply, the commercial operation of the generation fleet, & risk management/trading & marketing. The job entails high-level speaking & meetings plus leading the development of best-in-class studies & managing regulatory advocacy/activities related to taxation. Other responsibilities include participating on issue teams such as EPACT implementation, climate, & efficiency & working to ensure the availability of natural gas for generation. The job requires a BA/BS, with an advanced degree preferred, & at least 10 years of experience in electric generation or power supply. Travel is a required.

Responsibilities include administrative support to Executive Director and Senior Director, special legislative-focused projects, and organizational support for conferences. Successful candidate must be a self-starter who takes initiative with strong follow-through, can handle multiple projects efficiently and accurately, and has excellent written and oral communication skills. The intern must be detail-oriented; proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel & Publisher applications; & familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint and Access. The ideal candidate must have great communication skills, be a self-starter, & work well with colleagues. Project Manager, Spare Transformer Equipment Program
EEI & the Spare Transformer Equipment Program’s (STEP) Executive Committee need a Project Manager. Approximately 50 electric utilities have contracted to provide each other transformers in case of a triggering event. The Manager will oversee this program, ensuring compliance. This leadership position may be filled by an EEI employee or an independent contractor working offsite. The job requires a BS/BA, preferably in engineering, business or legal, plus 10 years of experience in the industry with transmission & operations experience a plus. Leadership, interpersonal & organizational skills are essential. The Manager will supervise an administrative assistant, outside counsel & consultants plus be responsible for the budget.

Senior Developer, Employment Testing
EEI needs a Sr. Developer to create enterprise-level software (desktop & Web based) applications using object-oriented programming languages for use by member companies & the Employment Testing Department. The Developer will also design, build & maintain database tables, develop MS SQL stored procedures, provide data security, produce documentation & provide ongoing support to EEI’s member companies. The job requires a BS in computer programming or a related degree & 4 years of programming/database development. Working knowledge of C#, Java, Web- based technologies, MS SQL & databases is essential. Adobe Flash is desirable.
