POWERING CHANGE

This is the year we harness the energy of people to generate excitement about electricity as a transportation fuel.

Transportation is the only industrial sector that has not fully embraced electricity as a fuel—yet. For residential customers, plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are the most prominent applications; to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, electric utilities also promote applications that move people and goods, too, via commercial delivery fleets, buses and baggage carts at airports, forklifts in warehouses and at seaports, mining applications, and so on.
