ABOUT MEETING: 

This meeting is designed to encourage discussion and interaction on the key issues facing the electric power industry.  The meeting is targeted for Managers, Directors, or Vice Presidents of Strategic or Business Planning at electric utilities.  Attendance usually includes a wide range of individuals from the planning, regulatory, and financial operations of member electric companies, as well as representatives from EEI International Affiliate utilities.  In addition, many EEI Associate (vendor) members find the meeting to be an excellent opportunity to discuss and debate critical energy topics with the key industry players.

 

MEETING SCHEDULEThe meeting starts at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 23 with an Opening Luncheon followed by workshops until about 5:00 pm. Come and enjoy our lively and entertaining Welcome Reception which starts  at 5:30 pm and ends at approximately 7:30 pm.  On Thursday, March 24, the meeting starts with a full breakfast at 8:00 am and workshops continue throughout the day with lunch at 12 noon, and we adjourn at 5:00 pm.  On Friday, March 25, the session starts with continental breakfast followed by workshops, and adjourn at 11:00 am.

HOTEL INFORMATION: The Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans is a 4-Star expansive and beautiful hotel located in the French Quarter along lively Bourbon Street.  Please call the hotel directly at 504-586-0300 or toll free 1-800-238-0767 and identify yourself as an "EEI Strategic Issues Roundtable" attendee to reserve your room at the group rate of $159 single/double occupancy by no later than deadline date extended to Monday, March 7th.  The group rate is available to attendees one day prior and one day after the meeting based on availability.

TRANSPORTATION: The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 15 miles from the Central Business District and French Quarter.  A shuttle bus costs $20 one-way and $38 roundtrip (the return trip from hotel must be scheduled in advance).   Taxi fare is $33 one-way.  It is a quick ride away, whether you go by bus, shuttle, taxi or limousine.  If you come by Greyhound Bus or AMTRAK train, Union Terminal is centrally located and served by RTA buses, taxis and limos.
