On September 20, EEI joined 100 associations (including AGA, APPA and NRECA), energy companies, and community and consumer groups, to send a letter to the leadership and appropriators of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, urging that the Congress adopt the FY2011 recommendations of the House appropriators, funding the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at $5.1 billion.
