Accommodations

The Carbon Capture and Storage Work Group Retreat will take place at the Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel & Spa, located at 280 Beach Boulevard. EEI has reserved a block of rooms for Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16, at a group rate of $109 per night (exclusive of taxes). To make a reservation:

• Please call the hotel directly: 1-800-HARRAHS (427-7247), and provide our group code S1015CA. 
• Please be sure to identify the group as the Carbon Capture and Storage Work Group Retreat and not EEI or Edison Electric to ensure you receive the group rate. 
• The cutoff date to receive the group rate is October 1. 

The Grand Biloxi is a 25-minute drive from the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.

CCS Retreat and Plant Tour

• The CCS Retreat will begin at 1:00 p.m., October 16, so arriving Thursday morning is possible for most attendees located on the East Coast or nearby western states.
• Our host, the Southern Company, has arranged for lunch and a tour of nearby Plant Daniel, the site of a CO₂ injection demonstration, from noon to 3:00 p.m. October 17.  The airport is 45 minutes from Plant Daniel.
• The retreat and the tour are business casual.
